MATILYNN REEDER BENEFIT CAR SHOW
Matilynn Reeder is an adorable 12-year old girl with a rare genetic condition called Hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (HED). The hallmark feature of HED is an inability to sweat, which causes dry/sensitive skin, eczema and sparse hair growth. Matilynn was hospitalized over the summer and to help with the rising costs of medical bills, at the end of October 2025, the Carterville, MO community rallied together to raise money for her upcoming procedures through the 1st Annual Matilynn Reeder Benefit Car Show. 23 Cars in all showed up to display some fancy wheel. Railroad Sock donated a raffle basket of outdoor goodies, including some of our most favorite socks!

Almost 5 years ago, Amanda took the helm of Railroad Sock and has since led it through an impressive period of growth and revitalization. Coming into the industry with fresh eyes, Amanda immersed herself fully in the craft, even taking specialized hosiery courses to understand every detail of how socks are made. Her dedication has guided the company through a thoughtful rebuild of its historic brand, from restoring customer relationship and reorganizing inventory, to expanding Railroad Sock’s presence online.
Under Amanda’s leadership, Railroad Sock’s product line-up has flourished, now offering over 135 styles, fitments, and colors. Her hands-on approach and passion for exceptional customer service have helped shape a stronger, more dynamic company while honoring the legacy of a brand loved for generations.
When she’s not running the business, Amanda is an avid collector with over 7,000 unsharpened pencils. She enjoys camping with her partner and spending time with her two wonderful daughters. At home, she’s kept company by her two Basset Hounds, Penelope and Oliver.
