TEE’D OFF AT BREAST CANCER
In October we wear Pink (socks) in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So, when our new friends at The Pink Ribbon Effect reached out about their charity golf tournament, a fundraising event for breast cancer research & patient support projects, we wanted to help. Proceeds from the event will help them assemble “MammoTotes”, care packages for mastectomy/double mastectomy patients. The Railroad Sock donated a Raffle Basket for this event + lots of cozy pink socks to be included in the next batch of MammoTotes.

HOW DO YOU WASH WOOL SOCKS?
Firstly, like any of our socks, we highly recommend flipping them inside out. This helps protect the exterior from pilling, preserving a nicer looking finish. When you throw them into your washing machine, it’s important to use a gentle cycle with cold water & a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and high heat. After washing, to prevent shrinking, you’ll want to tumble dry on a low setting, or lay flat on an absorbent towel and let them air dry.
Following these tips will keep your favorite socks comfy throughout the cooler seasons.

With the revitalization of our historic brand, it became evident that a “Conductor” was needed to oversee the day-to-day operations. Angelo was a key player who wore many different hats, working tirelessly paying close attention to inventory levels, purchasing and sales trends. He was instrumental in bringing EDI technology to Railroad Sock, which was no “small feet!” He even refurbished our train mascot.
While his time at the station ended earlier this month, we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge all that he accomplished while he worked here. We all wish him the best in his future endeavors!
