This February has been all about Love. From Valentine’s Day (of course), to love of country as we cheered on Team USA at the Winter Olympics, and spreading the word about Railroad Sock at various Trade Shows across America. But our absolute favorite part of February has been taking part in the Love-A-Thon. This fundraising event benefits the Love Fund for Children, a local children’s charity in the Kansas City Metro. (More to come on that!)

GIVING BACK
SHARING THE LOVE(A-THON)
$2000 & 2000 Socks Donated
On Friday, February 13th, Railroad Sock was proud to support Kansas City’s annual Love-A-Thon – a powerful community fundraising event benefiting the Love Fund for Children. Hosted in partnership with WDAF Fox 4, the Love-A-Thon brings the community together to help improve the lives of area children by providing the essential goods and services they need to thrive.
The Railroad Sock stepped up during the 8-9am news hour, matching donations up to $2,000, as well as donating 1,000 pairs of youth-size socks – one of the most requested items by the organization.
For our CEO, Amanda Beech, the moment was deeply personal:
“When I was a child and times were hard, I missed out on some basic necessities. Now that I have the opportunity to give back, I just want to provide for the youth in the community like it was done for me over my life.”
