All-Aboard for Sock News, Vol. 11 - March 2026

Next Stop, Spring! In this issue of All-Aboard, we're "full-steam ahead" as we transition into nicer weather. With tips for Easter and recommendations for Socks this spring, there's something for everyone.

SPRING (FASHION) FORWARD

Next Stop, Spring!

With the weather warming and the days growing longer, we're moving "full-steam ahead" into Spring! We can all finally get back outside and for us, that means pulling off the thick winter Wool socks and slipping into something lighter – like our Merino Wool Outdoor Socks (available in No-Show, Quarters, Micro-Crews, & Crews). Merino Wool is the perfect choice for these transitional seasons as they thermoregulate, keeping your feet feeling great in both the cool mornings and warm afternoons.

We've also got a great option for Sports fans enjoying March Madness: Team Spirit Striped Crews. These retro-inspired crew socks sport color combos inspired by your favorite teams. Plus they feature a modern, comfort fit – these aren't your old gym tubes!

PRETTY PASTELS FOR HAPPY FEET

With winter (hopefully) finally in our rearview, it's time to put the dreary grey & black socks back in the dresser and bust out the cheery colors. Our most vibrant options are available as part of our Health Trak® series. If you haven't heard of these socks, you're in for a treat! Don't be turned off by the word "Therapeutic" on the label, while these were designed with diabetics & sensitive feet in mind (and work fabulously for them, btw), they're the perfect socks for EVERYONE. With an impressive 95% Cotton construction (which is unheard of these days), they're super soft, and feature a full terry cushioned foot. Plus, the tops are non-binding – so say goodbye to uncomfortable leg/ankle squeezing.

One of our most popular offerings, and perfect for Spring, are the Heath Trak® Pastel Therapeutic Crews. Enjoy a fresh mix of gentle pastel shades like Blue, Lavender, Lime, Peach, Pink, and Yellow (sold in assorted 3-packs). And NEW for 2026, perfect for the warmer days ahead, they're now available in ankle-height, Quarter Socks size. Keep your feet happy and add a little joy to every step with pretty pastels!

TIP OF THE MONTH

EASTER "EGGS"

DIY Sock Fun for Easter Baskets

While chocolate in plastic eggs is an Easter basket staple, and a yummy one at that, you can add other little gifts to round out the experience. Let's take a look at a couple ways SOCKS may be the perfect choice:

  • Sock Eggs: Most of us naturally roll our socks into an egg-shape already without even realizing it. That makes them perfect for Easter baskets, while giving your loved ones the gift of comfort. (The pastel socks above work great, as is!) To enhance the Easter Egg look even further, you can also decorate them. One idea is to wrap the socks in aluminum foil (like a big chocolate egg!). Another is to tape strips of paper around the outside and color fun shapes on them. The possibilities are endless, so get creative and crafty!
  • "No-Sew" Sock Bunny: For DIY-crafters, all you need are some basic supplies to turn a spare sock into an adorable Easter Bunny for your young kids.

WHAT'S A "RECIPROCATED HEEL & TOE"?

When it comes to modern fitment in socks, nothing beats a "Reciprocated Heel and Toe". Unlike tube socks, that are knitted in a continuous circle (forming a tube of fabric), reciprocated knitting goes back and forth to form a Y-shaped, three-dimensional "pocket" in the heel and toe box. This provides a much more anatomical fit that follows the natural shape of your foot. The great thing about that is it keeps your socks hugging your foot and prevents them from bunching & slipping in your shoes. This is particularly important for athletes and those who spend long hours on their feet because it reduces friction and helps to prevent blisters. They're also typically reinforced with a stronger material like nylon to ensure long-lasting quality.
