HOPE HOUSE GALA

On August 2nd, Hope House hosted the 35th annual Believe—Illuminating Hope Gala to come together and celebrate their accomplishments of serving domestic violence survivors on their journey to healing & safety. Railroad Sock, in partnership with C K Print & Design, provided the programs, invitations, dinner menus, and various signage for the event. Over $460,000 was raised at the event to support survivors of domestic violence.

ARE SOCKS KNITTED OR WEAVED?

Socks are typically knitted, not woven. The main difference lies in the construction. Knitting uses needles in a machine to create connecting loops or stitches with a continuous strand of yarn in a seamless, tubular shape, while weaving interlaces two sets of perpendicular threads together on a weaving loom to create a structured, stable fabric. The knitting process allows for flexibility, stretch, and comfort and usually offers a better “hand” to the product.

MEET THE CABOOSE CREW

KYLE BOERSMA

Warehouse Lead | Joined June 2024

When Harold decided it was time to semi-retire, we started looking for a warehouse protégé. Kyle Boersma is that guy! Kyle works diligently every day pulling orders, verifying case counts, receiving packaging, and shipping socks out the door!

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys cooking, reading about current/world events, and playing games with his friends.

Kyle is an integral part of the Railroad Sock caboose crew; we’re grateful for the leadership and partnership he brings to our train station!
