STARS, STRIPES, AND STYLE!

Hello Sock Fam,

Happy July! As we celebrate Independence Day, we’re feeling extra proud to knit every pair of our socks right here in the USA – since 1901! From bold designs to everyday comfort, our socks are made with care, quality, and a whole lot of American spirit.

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on what it means to be Made in the USA – one cozy step at a time.

TIP OF THE MONTH

THESE COLORS DON'T RUN

...with proper care on Laundry Day, that is!

To ensure long-lasting vibrant colors, we strongly recommend laundering our socks, inside-out, with the following guidelines:

   •  For Wool Socks: Machine Wash Cold (with Like Colors)

   •  For Cotton & Athletic Socks: Machine Wash Warm (with Like Colors)

And if absolutely necessary, use Non-Chlorine Bleach only. Just like a true patriot, we don’t want those colors to run!

SWAIN'S GENERAL STORE

If you find yourself knee deep on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state with a hole in your sock, make the short trek north to Port Angeles! This thriving metropolis is home to Swain’s General Store.

What began in 1957 as a store with “tents, trinkets, tools, tackle, and trousers” has evolved into a 38,300 sq. ft. of retail space on two floors! Swain’s has a full line of general merchandise with quality national brands – including Railroad Sock!

GIVING BACK

MAINSTREET CREDIT UNION

Not to toot our own horn (or train whistle), but we wanted to give special recognition to the Railroad Sock employees who gathered school supplies to donate to the Mainstreet Credit Union back to school supply drive.

In partnership with the Salvation Army, the collected supplies will benefit students in Kansas and Missouri.

WILL TARIFFS RAISE SOCK PRICING?

Yes, & no... What are tariffs? Tariffs are taxes on imported goods. Since China plays a significant role in fulfilling US consumer sock demand, those businesses that manufacture their products in China will most likely pass along this increase to the consumer. So yes, a lot of sock prices will rise.

The good news is Railroad Sock manufactures our sock line in the United States, so YOU are not burdened by the addition in tariffs!
