ALL ABOARD THE MAY EXPRESS!

Hello Sock Fam,

May is here – and it’s full steam ahead into sunshine, spring fun, and honoring the hardworking dads who deserve all the comfort in the world (starting with their feet).

Father’s Day is June 15th – a day we celebrate and honor the incredible paternal figures who inspire, support, and shape our lives. Whether it’s your dad, grandpa, stepdad, or another father figure, it’s the perfect opportunity to show them some love (and some socks).

BUILT DAD TOUGH

Whether Dad’s out fixing the fence, grilling in the backyard, or just kicking up his feet after a long day — he needs a sock that can keep up.

Enter the 2965 / 2965K Merino Wool Work Sock, also known around here as “The Do Everything Sock!” This all-season superstar delivers year-round comfort thanks to its perfect weight and moisture-wicking Merino Wool. It keeps feet dry on the hottest days and cozy during the coldest. It’s built to last, built to work, and built for comfort—just like Dad. Available in Large (10–13) and King (13–15) sizes.

TIP OF THE MONTH

WHAT ARE SOCK RIBS?

(and Why Do We Love Them?)

Sock ribs are the raised ridges that run vertically along your socks. They’re created using alternating knit and purl stitches, giving your socks stretch and structure. This ribbing helps the sock stay snug around your leg without slipping or feeling too tight—and it adds a bit of texture, too!

The most common rib patterns? 1x1 (tight and uniform) and 3x1 (a bit more relaxed). Simple, classic, and functional.

HARRISONVILLE MIDDLE SCHOOL

On May 12th, Harrisonville Middle School celebrated Field Day with 280 excited 4th and 5th graders! From inflatable axe throwing to tug-of-war, the day was packed with sunshine, laughter, and school spirit.

For the 2nd year in a row, Railroad Sock proudly donated a dunk tank, giving students the thrill of soaking their teachers — bullseyes never felt so sweet! Here’s to supporting fun, community, & a great school year!

CAN YOU WEAR MERINO WOOL IN THE SUMMER?

Yes, you can – and should! Merino Wool is a rockstar in warm weather. Its porous fibers wick away moisture and keep your feet cool, dry, and odor-free (thanks, lanolin!). It’s naturally breathable, resists stink, and even helps regulate temperature. Plus, it’s eco-friendly and doesn’t need washing after every wear—just air them out and go again! Lightweight, comfy, & perfect for summer adventures. Long live merino!

HAROLD WHITE

This Father’s Day, we’re tipping our caps to Harold White — a man of quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering dedication.

Harold joined Railroad Sock in 1986 and has been a cornerstone of our team ever since, now serving as our warehouse supervisor. With over 20 million socks packed, his steady presence & hard work have shaped the heartbeat of our company.

Outside of work, Harold is a loving husband to his lifelong sweetheart Jean, a proud father of three, grandfather of seven, and great-grandfather of four. He’s also a devoted church leader, volunteer, and part-time roller-skating pro (seriously!). We’re grateful for Harold’s example—at work, at home, and in the community.

Happy Father’s Day to a true legend!
